Have you ever seen paintings of a sunset where all you could say was “seriously”? I’m thinking of “velvet paintings” but even some oils from the 19th century. The contrasting colours are vivid to the point of absurdity. But every now and then you look up and see something like this…
And the only thing you can say is “what the…”.
The mix of colours constantly changing.
The vivid orange grabs your attention. I love that, and have many sunset pictures with brilliant orange, but the combination of orange and blue really stands out for me.
I find myself thinking of pictures of the great storm on Jupiter. And right about then, I lose all perspective.
