No – this is not San Francisco. This is the view from my window in Ottawa as I was packing on Sunday. It has been cold enough, for long enough, that my neighbour has been able to build a skating rink in his back yard. Needless to say, conditions in San Francisco are somewhat different. More like this…

And of course, the architecture, which is somewhat more interesting, and less … frigid.

I’m here on business, so I haven’t had much of an opportunity to get out just yet, other than taking walks at lunch. But I did manage to get this picture.

Fortunately I’m finished working now, and we have 3 days to head up to Napa and Sonoma. I’m looking forward to posting about that soon.
